No. Pickup, transport, depollution, dismantling, RTO filing and Certificate of Deposit issuance are all handled by MTC (ELV) at zero cost to you. You receive a payment for the vehicle's scrap value — you never pay us.
Under India's Vehicle Scrapping Policy, petrol vehicles older than 15 years and diesel vehicles older than 10 years are typically eligible, as are vehicles that fail fitness testing or are declared end-of-life. We also accept any vehicle an owner voluntarily chooses to retire, subject to documentation. Cars, two-wheelers, three-wheelers, trucks, buses and EVs are all covered.
The CoD is the official document an RVSF issues once your vehicle has been deposited and scrapped. It is the proof the RTO needs to cancel your registration, and under MoRTH norms it may entitle you to a concession on motor vehicle tax for a new purchase, along with scrappage discounts offered by many OEMs. It is a tradable statutory instrument — keep it safe.
We do. Our documentation team files the scrappage record and RC cancellation with the relevant RTO on your behalf and tracks it to closure. You'll be kept informed at each stage and receive confirmation once cancellation is complete.
You will need the original Registration Certificate (RC), together with the owner's Aadhaar, PAN and bank details for the payment.

If the RC has been lost, an affidavit and a copy of the police complaint take its place. If the vehicle is still under hypothecation, a little extra paperwork is needed. Either case is perfectly workable — just tell us upfront and our team will guide you through it.
Valuation is based on the vehicle's recoverable material weight and prevailing scrap metal rates, adjusted for category, condition and completeness. Commercial vehicles are weighbridge-verified at the plant. We quote transparently and confirm the figure before pickup — there are no deductions introduced afterwards.
Payment is settled at deposit, before the vehicle leaves your possession or on receipt at the plant, depending on the arrangement agreed. It is made by bank transfer to the registered owner's account — we do not pay in cash, which protects both sides and keeps the transaction fully traceable.
Quote to pickup is usually a matter of days. Scrapping and CoD issuance follow shortly after deposit. RC cancellation timelines depend on the RTO, but we file immediately and follow up until it closes — you don't have to chase anything.
Yes. We work directly with OEMs, dealer groups, state transport undertakings, schools and corporate fleets — including bulk collection, consolidated documentation and a single point of contact for the whole batch. EVs go through safe high-voltage isolation before dismantling. Battery packs are removed intact and routed to specialist processing for black-mass and critical-metal recovery within MTC Group's recycling verticals, rather than being crushed with the shell.
